Day 183 // Thanksgiving Interrupted

ree

All of my trepidation about Thanksgiving washed away as I enjoyed my brown rice shells stuffed with ground chicken and spinach, and some incredible roasted Brussels sprouts. I didn't miss the traditional meal at all, which makes this approach to Christmas feel easy peasy.

I may not be able to enjoy the cocktail hour this year, but I will enjoy my cauliflower crust pizza (sugar-free "clean" sauce) for the first time on pizza night and even some "sweets" (my banana bread made from fresh bananas, oat flour, almond flour, pure maple syrup, fresh ground nutmeg, etc).

I plan to up my game in 2025 by removing instances of natural sugars (like honey and agave), adding more raw foods, and tending to the need for optimal protein. Although I imagine it will feel nice to share in a cocktail when the year is over, I feel unhurried and unbothered about the wait.
